Meet John
John Metzger is a life-long civil servant and non-partisan leader running as a write-in candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, Montana District 2 on November 5th, 2024.
John is a dedicated husband of 42 years, father of 3 and grandfather to 6, 2 of who are in Helena Public Schools, with one more going in next year.
John has spent his career working to cut wasteful spending in Washington DC. He started his career supporting two Republican senators (William Roth of Delaware and Mark Andrews of North Dakota) during the Reagan Administration. During this time, he helped save taxpayers $33 billion canceling wasteful government programs.
He moved up to working at the Pentagon, supporting the Department of Defense for 15 years. In that time, John led a warranty program for military equipment, and canceled wasteful government programs, personally saving taxpayers $11 billion.
John is running for Montana's U.S. House District 2 because he cares about our beautiful state and has more experience cutting wasteful government spending than anyone else in the race. John has already drafted bills and letters for the U.S. House of Representatives to include:
- Closing the Border/Border Security/’Building the Wall’
- Increasing prescriptions from 10 to 250/year for price reduction negotiations with manufacturers;
- Investigations into ending Price Gouging on groceries, gas, prescriptions, and ending monopolies on fertilizer and other farm supplies;
- Audits why property taxes are so high and how to reduce property taxes, and;
- Economic penalties and sanctions on China and Mexico for not meeting specific goals stopping fentanyl from entering the U.S.
