SEC. ____. BUILDING A STEEL BOLLARD BARRIER
Provided further, Funds allocated for pedestrian physical barriers—the construction of steel bollard pedestrian barrier built at least 18 to 30 feet in effective height and augmented with anti-climb and anti-dig features
Provided further, Construction of pedestrian barriers will be at locations identified in the Border Security Improvement Plan
Provided further, The Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection may reprioritize the construction of physical barriers outlined in the Border Security Improvement Plan and, with prior approval, add additional miles of pedestrian physical barriers where no such barriers exist, prioritized by operational requirements developed in coordination with U.S. Border Patrol leadership:
Sec___ BORDER EMERGENCY AUTHORITY
Provided further, Grants the Secretary of Homeland Security new emergency authority to close the U.S. Border when crossings of inadmissible aliens reach a set threshold.
Provided further, Imposes a 1-year inadmissibility bar on any alien who has been removed two or more times after U.S. Border closed by Secretary of Homeland Security.
Provided further, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has sole and original jurisdiction over any challenge arising from the Secretary’s authority to exercise the border emergency authority.
Sec. ____. IMMIGRATIONS AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT (ICE) DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY
Provided further, Provides ICE flexibility to hire additional personnel candidates for deportation officers or other positions exclusively relating to the Enforcement and Removal Program.
Sec. ____ ADDRESS SHORTAGES OF U.S. CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION OFFICERS AND BORDER PATROL AGENTS
Provided further, Commissioner can waive the polygraph screening requirement for eligible federal, State, or local law enforcement officers and members or reservists of the Armed Forces who are applicants to law enforcement positions.
Provided further, Directs the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a review of disciplinary, misconduct, or derogatory records of individuals hired using the polygraph waiver authority under Section [No.] of this Act.
Sec. ____. ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL PAY RATE TOF ASYLUM OFFICERS
Provided further, Establishes a special base rate of pay for Asylum Officers at grades 1 through 15, which is the otherwise applicable General Schedule base rate plus 15 percent.

Reemployment of civilian retirees to meet exceptional employment needs Provided further, Authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to waive certain hiring requirements related to reemployment and annuitant pay on a case-by-case basis to recruit for critical positions necessary to implement this Act.
